  • What kind of support do you provide?

When clients need hands-on support, we can step in to help. On time/materials basis or ongoing contract we can help with:

    • Computer latptop/desktop acquisition
    • Hardened computer configuration (PC)

    • OS updates
    • Internet and other networking provisioning (interfacing with service provider)
    • Network security, WiFi, home/office wiring, VPN
    • AV system configuration, installation, training (interfacing with integrator)
  • How did you get started in tech consulting?

Out of necessity! In 1997 we bought our first nonlinear video editor. Brought it back to the office and it promptly didn't work. We had to learn about IRQs, DMAs and other things that are now obsolete, but we made the thing go. We then started configuring our network and adding servers and workstations to meet our needs for production. Soon, friends and clients were having problems that we were able to find solutions for, and before we knew it, we were helping people buy, configure and maintain their computing infrastructure. That led us to become a Microsoft Partner. And then we found ourselves interfacing with larger companies, providing needed advice for them to get the most from technology investments.

  • What kinds of clients do you serve?

We primarily work with people in the small office/home office space, up to 10 users. For larger concerns we can provide project consulting and connect with other service organizations for day-to-day support.

  • What is your approach to Technical Consulting/Support?

Our philosophy is to "do the most with the least," using innovation to get top level performance from budget minded components where possible, but also recommending to buy the fastest and highest capacity that's offered to provide the most longevity for the investment. Having been burned by fly-by-night startup vendors that fail when their products do, we try to steer clients toward established name brands and solid warranties. We're slow to adopt "cutting edge" technologies that may pose a higher level of risk to our clients, but we are very aggressive when it comes to data security and cybersecurity training.
